Tanya Carpenter

Knowledgeable. Supportive. Uplifting

Tanya Carpenter discovered Pilates over a decade ago following a car accident that left her with a lower back injury. What began as a series of one-to-one rehabilitation sessions quickly became something much more meaningful. Through Pilates, Tanya experienced not only relief from pain but a deeper awareness of how the body moves, strengthens and supports itself. As her recovery progressed and she joined group classes, Tanya developed a genuine passion for the Pilates method and the transformative impact it can have on both body and mind. Inspired by her own experience, she decided to train as an instructor so she could help others discover the same benefits. Tanya completed her training with the world-renowned Body Control Pilates, qualifying as a mat instructor in 2014. After building a strong foundation in mat work, she expanded her expertise by training on the Reformer, allowing her to offer a wider range of movement and resistance-based exercises to support strength, alignment and rehabilitation. A naturally curious and dedicated teacher, Tanya continues to deepen her knowledge through ongoing courses and workshops, constantly refining her understanding of movement and the body. She works with people of all ages and abilities, and finds great reward in helping clients recover from injury, reduce pain and move with greater ease. In Tanya’s classes you can expect thoughtful guidance, supportive teaching and a session that leaves you feeling stronger, more flexible and confident in your body. Teaches: Pilates Matwork on Wednesdays 12.45 PM and Sundays 9 AM, Reformer on Sundays at 10:15 and 11:20 AM.
