I’d been nervous about joining a class but the teachers at Breeze Yoga were so welcoming. The flow class was gentle yet effective, and the studio has a lovely calming vibe. Easy online booking too, I’ll definitely be back.
I love the range of classes here. From slow restorative to upbeat vinyasa. The teachers give helpful options for different levels and the timetable fits my work schedule. Wish there were more weekend slots, otherwise brilliant.
After a stressful week, Breeze Yoga is my go-to reset. The guided breathing and mindfulness at the end of class make a real difference. I’ve met lovely people through their socials and workshops. Feels like a little community.
The instructors are knowledgeable and correct alignment without making you feel self-conscious. Clean space, clear directions for newbies, and upbeat playlists. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to deepen their practice.
Joanne started practicing Hatha yoga in 2001, with dvd at home, feeling too embarrassed to go to a class. Suffering with clinical depression and anorexia throughout her teenage years and early twenties, she was looking for an alternative and holistic approach in dealing with the sickness. In 2004 she started practicing Bikram’s series of asanas while in Australia, and found what she had been looking for, and so much more! The need to share and teach the yoga with everyone was something she couldn’t ignore, and subsequently went on to teacher training in Hawaii in 2007. 10 years later, there is no looking back. Having the ability to help people create positive change in their lives is what living is for. The simplicity, accessibility and healing potential of Bikram’s method of yoga still excites her, and she looks forward to sharing it with many of you. Joanne also underwent teacher training with renowned Vinyasa yoga teacher Stewart Gilchrist in 2015, while pregnant with her second child. She believes you are never too sick, never too old, never too broken (or pregnant) to start from scratch and begin once again.
