What to Expect

This session introduces the foundational discipline of Himalayan Hatha Yoga as the beginning of the Yoga Mastery Journey. Mastery begins with steadiness. When the body becomes stable, the mind naturally begins to settle. Through a clear and methodical practice of asana, participants are guided to bring awareness to posture, alignment, balance, and breath. The emphasis is not on performance or intensity, but on learning to inhabit each posture with sensitivity, precision, and ease. Breath becomes the anchor for awareness, allowing practice to unfold with steadiness rather than force. Each asana is approached in a way that supports structural stability, muscular harmony, and the health of the joints and ligaments. The session invites practitioners to return to essentials and rediscover the intelligence of simple, conscious practice.   By the end of the 90-minute session, participants will: ▪️ Develop a foundational understanding of Himalayan Hatha Yoga practice ▪️ Improve awareness of posture, alignment, and breath coordination ▪️ Cultivate greater steadiness, balance, and body awareness ▪️ Learn safe and sustainable movement principles for long-term practice ▪️ Experience a more grounded and focused state of awareness ▪️ Establish a strong foundation for continued progression on the Yoga Mastery Journey The session will conclude with an open Q&A, offering participants the opportunity to clarify understanding, deepen insight into the practice, and receive guidance for their individual journey. Suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners, this practice reminds us that mastery is not found in complexity, but in clarity, discipline, and conscious engagement.

Hailing from India's spiritual heartland, Yogi Ashokananda is a world-renowned master and founder of Himalayan Hatha Yoga and Prana Kriya Yoga. Trained from a young age by Indian masters and siddhas, he has spent three decades sharing the ancient wisdom of the Himalayan sages through a modern, accessible lens. His teachings blend breathwork, energy practices, meditation, and embodied philosophy — guiding students beyond the postures and into deeper presence, vitality, and self-awareness. He travels internationally to lead retreats, workshops, and teacher trainings, and is the author of several books on yoga and conscious living. We're delighted to welcome him to Breeze Wellbeing for a rare chance to study with a true master of the tradition.
