Helena Sain
Helena came to yoga the long way round. A single mum and City finance professional, she lived at full pace — long hours, intense workouts, little stillness — until a rollerblading accident and ongoing back pain led to a physio's suggestion she try yoga. She wasn't convinced. After one class, she realised slowing down was the hardest part of all. Over time, yoga healed her back and reshaped her outlook, sparking a deep passion for meditation, Ayurveda and holistic wellbeing. When Helena lost her mother to cancer, yoga became her anchor. Encouraged by her mum, she opened her first studio, Samsara Mind and Body, in 2013. She trained in Himalayan Hatha Yoga in India in 2014, completed a second teacher training in 2017, and continued studies in Ayurveda and bioenergy healing. In 2018, a chance meeting led her to take over Breeze Yoga. After selling Samsara in 2022, she poured everything into Breeze — growing it into a thriving wellbeing destination with more than 80 teachers and therapists offering yoga, Pilates, barre, reformer, massage and holistic and clinical therapies. More than 25 years on, her vision is unchanged: a welcoming, inclusive community where movement, therapy and human connection feel grounded in real life.
